Life Project, 1890s HBCU AgrAbility Annual Workshop

Save the date Jun 7th and 8th 2022

The LIFE Project, National AgrAbility Project (NAP) and TN Cooperative Extension at Tennessee State University want to enhance the relationships between our respective organizations and the 1890 HBCU (Historically Black Colleges and Universities) land-grant institutions. By attending this workshop, you will be made aware of means and resources that are available to help underserved and socially disadvantaged agricultural workers and farmers/ranchers with disabilities among your constituencies. You will have the opportunity to meet and talk with farmers who have benefited from numerous USDA services, including those of the LIFE Project, AgrAbility, and TSU Extension.

This is an opportunity not to be missed – to learn how to better meet the needs of often overlooked and underserved segments of the agricultural society. Lunches during the event will be provided along with a variety of relevant resources.

Registration is open, please follow this link: https://the-lifeproject.com/life-conference

Note: Farm Credit of MidAmerica is sponsoring 20 rooms for TN on an as needed basis for the first 20 farmers traveling 50 miles of further away from TSU.  FREE conference but you need to register. If need a hotel room, please email your name, address, and phone number to agrability@tennessee.edu If you need additional assistance for farmers or veterans with disabilities, contact TN AgrAbility by email or phone at (865) 200-4527.
